Keynote Speaker: Dr. Amy F Parks, LPC, ACS - “The Couch and the Cradle: Tales of a Therapist Mom"

CE Hours 1

About this course

Join us for a journey that blends humor and authenticity as we explore the journey of being a therapist and a mom. Through a collection of relatable anecdotes, we'll hang out together at the scenic overlooks and bottom out in the potholes of balancing bedtime stories with therapy sessions, offering glimpses into the chaotic yet rewarding experience of therapist mom life. While the tales are infused with lighthearted humor, they also delve into the deeper connections and shared experiences that unite us all. Whether you're a seasoned therapist with towering teens, a new mom, a grandma of 3, or somewhere in between, prepare to laugh, nod knowingly, and perhaps shed a tear or two as we celebrate the beautiful chaos of motherhood and therapy intertwined. This keynote presentation will address how to identify burnout, how to engage in authentic self-care, and ways to maintain boundaries in work and home life.
